Muchos milagros

Sooo, this week has been a good one but really what week hasn't been a good one?? We have been able to see so many milagros with all of or investigators, seriously. We now have 8 people who are wanting to be baptized and 6 of them have baptismal dates. This a good way to finish the mission strong.

We taught Oscar and his daughter Jenny. They finally opened up to us about telling us that they want to be baptized but they have some family fears because their family is very very catholic. They came to church and fasted this week and they are really trying to do whats right.

We have been teaching Samantha non-stop because she is getting baptized this week. On the way to her house we were getting all ready to teach her tithing and chastity. When we got there we asked her what these two commandments were she explained them so well. I told my companion, okay I think we can end with a prayer now because she knows it all. We had a good laugh and then taught the lesson. Samantha also went to the temple this week. She told us she about cried in the sealing room. She told me she is going to get married there one day. I told her I am too.

We found a new family this week of 3 and they are awesome. We taught them and they all have baptism dates and they all came to church. They are like so awesome. I wish i could explain more how they are but its hard to do it over email. I'll have to explain more next week.

Today i went to Loma Florida and I don't have words to explain how I felt. It was like I was in my house. The people still love me haha. Is that bad to say? I love that little pueblo like no other. I can't wait to be able to show my whole family what its like. I got to see the Valencia family they are all good. They made us my favorite quesadillas. then we went and visited the Mendez family and we had cake with them. They told me that my spanish has gotten a lot better; I sure hope so since I was there over a year ago

Well folks, love you all and I will see you next week!

Last week's events

Tuesday

In the morning we had to go to downtown Puebla because my companion had an appointment. As we walked i couldn't help but remember all the things that have happened here in Puebla. Ahh people are starting to get ready for 15 de september, their holiday. Its gonna be huge, so many Mexican dresses. I think im going to buy one to go home in. After we went to the appointment we headed over to lunch. We ate with the bishop's wife. It was really nice. She told us about her conversion story. This woman is such an example to me, so strong and determined to follow God.  The rest of the day we spent teaching. One of our investigators told us that there isn't anything keeping him from going to church but also nothing that motivates him. We are going to stop teaching him, I think. After some lessons we got invited to a FHE with Hna. Tin. It was really nice. We talked about the temple. After she gave us hot dogs because she said she wanted to give us something we eat at home.. haha.

Wednesday

We taught Samantha and she read 3 Nephi 11 last time for her assignment and she explained it to us perfectly. She is so awesome, I love her. She told us that she is feeling a little nervous about her baptism but that she is feeling good. I feel the spirit so strongly whenever I am with her. Meeting her has strengthened my testimony so much that God really prepares people. After we got one of the less active teenagers to come and do visits with us all day. She was so cute. She told us that she wants to get her YW award. We ended up having some good lessons while she was with us. She shared her testimony. she hadn't come to church in a year but she came, yayaya.

Thursday

We had zone conference. It went well, lots of learning and things were all going good and then all of a sudden my companion started to feel really sick. I looked over at here and her eyes were red and her lips were blue. We went and talked to President Nelson. He gave her a blessing and she stayed in the office for the rest of the conference. We had the testimony part for the missionaries that are leaving so I got to share mine. It was nice. After that Pres Nelson and Hna Nelson gave us a ride to our house so that we could pick up some clothes because they said we could come spend the night at their house.

My night at President's house.

My comp went upstairs and went to bed. I ended up having dinner with Pres. and his wife. It was nice, we had a lot of chatting and it was fun. I ended up talking to Hna Nelson until 10:30pm. It went well, she is really so real and awesome. The next day Hna. Nelson and I studied Spanish together and then I went out and worked with the sister missionaries who lived close by.  It was nice. I spent the day with Hna Jensen. We taught a woman who told us that God told her she needs to buy the lottery ticket number 10. Sounds like apostasy but whatever.

Stephanie, a girl we taught and was baptized from Loma Florida came and surprised me. She gave me a teddy bear. Who knows how im going to bring that home but we will see. After we ate with some of my favorite members, Patty and Abelardo. So awesome.

Today

I got to visit Fuertes today. I hung out with the same old group. We played soccer and then Gabby, Carlos, my companion and I went and hit the town of Fuertes. Its so crazy how I have made so many close friends here. I'm going to miss them like crazy when I leave.

See you soon!

Confusion

Okay sooooo there's been some confusion on the rooming here in Puebla for you see my companion is American!!!
Haha my new companion is named hermana Weaver. shes from morgan utah and has aroung 5 months in the mission. We are different but so we seem to be doing all good. Here are some random facts about sister weaver

- she loves folk music ( she has a super good voice)
- she has 7 people in her family
- shes 20 years old
- she likes doctor who

We have been super busy this week we have been 2 crazy americans running around puebla.

On tuesday. we had the transfer meetting. it went well. Hna wells my mtc companion went home. hermana orgill and her family were here visiting Puebla. it was so weird to see her in normal clothes all normal. ha we took a selfie with her i phone. weird post mission life. well my old companion hna felipe went to angelopolis so not very far away. so the good news is we will be in the same district.

this week we had the chapel dedication and open house. it was so awesome. seriously got to meet a lot of new people and a lot of unfamiliar faces came. we were able to receive lots of references. the mission work is really picking up here. so thats good news right?

on wesnesday i introduces hna weaver to t 25 a work out disc. i have  she has been telling me all week how she has been sore. she told me pain means progress. True.

we have a new district leader his name is elder barchie i think hes from Idaho. or something but he is actually a good dl. he knows what hes doing and in the district meeting i feel spiritually uplifted.

we have been teaching an investigaor names oscar he has been to church maybe 8 times but he still is feeling really worried about being baptized because he is scared he is going to mess up again. he had alcohol problems and even went to jain once. we are hoping that he can feel the savors love and make the choice to be baptized.

the Sanchez rojas family gave us a bomb reference. seriously her name is Samantha she's 18 years old and her boyfriend is a member. we were with them in the ice cream store and Samantha came in we introduced ourself and then shared a small message about the plan of salvation and we invited her to church. the next day she came to church!! she was so cute she had her nails pained blue, a blue dress and blue and white shoes. she was so awesome and like knows a lot about the gospel. we have a lesson with her tommroow we are going to invite her to be baptised.

this week we were singing hymns in church and all of a sudden i started to cry. i think a lot of emotion just kind of hit me like yeah im not going to be singing spanish hymns for very much longer. sad right? mom we can still sing them together okayy??

today we had a pretty laid back day we went to wash our clothes then the store and then cleaned the house.

I love my mission

I love my mission.

This was the last week of the transfer and so it was full of things to do. We had intercambios with the hermanas from San Pablo. I ended up gong to the hospital with Hna Galvan while my companion stayed with Hna Gonzalez. All went well in the hospital I met a missionary from Peru and told him that my brother was going to Peru.

Any way back to the story hna galvan and i went to the hospital all went well but on the way home we took the wrong bus and totally got lost and we went to some super scary place were the missionaries are not aloud. we had to get out of there. we asked the bus driver how we could get back to san pablo. he told us only with about 100 pesos taking a taxi we searched and all we had was 80 pesos. we were seriously in a bad spot. we finally found a taxi that cost us 80 pesos. we are not broke. but when we got home we got back to the house it was 9 15. it was too dangerous to go home so we had to sleep on the floor. we ended up having a sleepover. we put the two mattresses on the floor and the 4 of us slept on the floor it wasn't pleasant lets just say that i was using a sweater as a pillow case.

The rest of the week went well. I have no time but today. We played like fear factor we had to do the ice bucket challenge then the zone leaders and sister training leaders had to have ice cream or cake in the face. not sure why but it was funny.

love you all see you bye bye
